My name is Annemarie. I grew up on the Texas-Mexico border but was born in Connecticut to a Spanish mother and American father. I have spent [almost] every summer of my life in Spain, and last September I decided to move to Madrid to teach English. So here I am.

Listening to Simon and Garfunkel {what a dream I had, dressed in organdy, clothed in crinoline of smoky burgundy / let us be lovers, we'll marry our fortunes together / half of the time we're gone but we don't know where, we don't know where}, with the fan on high and the blinds closed to prevent this 4th-floor apartment from turning into an oven in the Spanish sun.
